General

  • Why can I only see a limited number of items each day?

    We know how easy it can be to spend hours browsing on resale sites, so instead we choose a selection of items for you to view each day. In the future, you will be able to set your preferences so we can continually improve the selection of items we show you, to suit your tastes. For now, there are 20 different items to view each day, so keep coming back!

  • Where is the search button?

    In the 'For You' tab we show you 20 different items each day so you can have a quick browse of what is new.

    You can also click on the 'Filter' tab to refine your search.

  • How can I find an item I saw previously?

    As the selection you see each day changes, it is really important you make quick decisions on what you see each day! If you save an item to your collection, you can come back to it later, but if you don’t, you might not see that item again!

  • How can I delete my account?

    We'd hate to see you leave but we understand that sometimes we need an app clearout. To delete your account, go to My Shop in the app, click 'Edit Profile', and there you will see a 'Delete account' button.

    Your account, and all data associated with it, will then be deleted. This process can not be reversed.

Buying

  • How do I buy an item?

    To buy an item, simply click the ‘Buy It’ button on the listing. You’ll then be taken to another screen to make your payment either by credit/debit card or by Apple Pay. If you havent already inputted your address into your Profile, you will be prompted to do so. If you’re happy to progress, click the Purchase button, and you will then be able to contact the seller using the in-app chat functionality to arrange postage of your item.

  • What does it cost to buy an item?

    All listings have an item price and postage price indicated on the item. When you pay you will also be charged a payment processing fee by our payment provider Stripe. This is currently 1.5% of your payment price +£0.20 for standard UK credit and debit cards.

  • How do I ask the seller a question about my item?

    When you view a listing, there is a ‘Chat with seller’ button, which opens up the in-app messaging service.

  • How do I pay for postage?

    If the seller is charging for postage, this will be included in the final price you pay.

  • What's the payment processing fee?

    This is a charge made by our payment provider Stripe to cover their processing costs, and is currently set at 1.5% of the total selling cost (including postage if there is any) + £0.20. None of this fee stays with UNTAGGED - we don't charge fees.

  • What fees do buyers pay?

    Unlike many other resale platforms, at UNTAGGED we do not charge any fees to buyers or sellers for using our platform. Our payment provider Stripe does charge a small payment processing fee, which is included in the buyer's price at checkout.

  • When is my payment taken?

    The buyer's payment is taken the moment they click 'Buy' in the app, and it is held by our payment processor Stripe until it is due to be paid out. The seller receives payment 10 days after they have marked the item as sent, to ensure it has time to reach the buyer and they can check there are no issues.

  • What if there's a problem with the item I've bought?

    If your item doesn't arrive when you expect it, or it doesn't match the description in the listing, please contact the Seller to discuss the issue. We recommend always using a tracked postal service so if the item gets lost you can follow their complaints procedure to get a refund.

    If the item isn't as expected, we recommend returning the item to the Seller for a refund.

    If you are not able to reach a resolution with the Seller, you can contact us at support@untaggedfashion.com and we will try to help mediate.

  • What if my item doesn't arrive?

    If your item doesn't arrive when you expect it,  please contact the Seller to discuss the issue. We recommend always using a tracked postal service so if the item gets lost you can follow their complaints procedure to get a  refund.

  • Do you offer Buyer Protection?

    We want to keep costs as low as possible for our buyers and sellers so we do not charge any fees. This means that we do not currently offer Buyer Protection if an item should get lost or not be as described in the listing. We highly recommend using a tracked postal service so you get their protection if an item is lost on its way to you.  However, we will help mediate with the Seller should there be any issues with a sale, but we do know these cases are rare.

  • Do I need to create a Stripe account to buy on UNTAGGED?

    No, you only need to create a Stripe account to sell items on UNTAGGED.

    When you buy an item, the transaction is handled by Stripe, and whilst you don't need to create a Stripe account, you will be charged a payment processing fee by Stripe. This is currently 1.5% of the total price (item price + postage) + £0.20.

Selling

  • How do I list an item?

    It’s really easy! Just click on the purple + button on the bottom tab of the app or in the My Shop section, upload your photos straight from your phone and add a few details. Your item will be listed immediately. All sellers need to create a Stripe account to receive their payment - this is a simple process and you are taken through it in the app.

  • What fees do sellers pay?

    Unlike many other resale platforms, at UNTAGGED we do not charge any fees to buyers or sellers for using our platform. Our payment provider Stripe does charge a small payment processing fee, which is included in the buyer's price at checkout. There are no fees at all for sellers.

  • Why does it take 10 days for me to get paid?

    This is to ensure your item has time to reach the buyer and they can check it is as expected. The buyer's payment is taken the moment they click 'Buy' in the app, and it is held by our payment processor Stripe until it is due to be paid out.

  • When do I receive my payment?

    Once you sell an item, you need to pack it up and post it to the buyer. As soon as you send it, mark the item as sent in your Shop, and you will receive payment in your bank account 10 days later.

  • How do I get payment for the postage?

    When you list your item, you need to add the postage cost into the postage line on the listing (unless you are happy to cover this cost). The postage cost is then included in the total price paid by the buyer.

  • How many items can I sell?

    As many as you like! As long as they meet our quality controls, you can upload all the clothes you no longer wear, and earn XP and TT every time you do so!

  • What if I change my mind about selling my item?

    That is absolutely fine, it’s great if you have decided you want to give your item another try. Simply click on the listing in My Shop and there is a button to Remove an Item from Sale.

  • Do you offer Seller Protection?

  • Why do I need to create a Stripe account to sell on UNTAGGED?

    Stripe is the payment provider we use to manage all payments between buyers and sellers on the app. You need to create a Stripe account to sell on UNTAGGED, but you don't need one to buy. Once you have a created a Stripe account, you will receive all payments directly into your bank account.

  • How do I create a Stripe account?

    You will be taken through the process to create a Stripe account after you create your first listing, or you can click on the 'Edit Profile' button in your shop to do it. You will need to enter an email address and password, your bank account details and your address, then you're all set up! You can track all your payments by logging into your Stripe dashboard at https://dashboard.stripe.com.

Earning XP and tokens

  • What is XP and how do I earn it?

    XP are the points you earn for doing simple actions within the app. Each month, whoever has earned the most XP during that period wins rewards. You can check your status by looking at the leaderboard  - tap the 'gift box' icon.

  • What are missions?

    Missions are challenges we set for you that enable you to win rewards. You can see all the missions within the missions ‘rocket’ tab. They are split out into those you have completed, and those which are still available. As you complete missions, you will win a combination of XP, TT and GP. We will keep adding new missions to the app, as well as new rewards.

  • What is GP and how do I earn it?

    GP, or Green Points, are the way we track how much carbon you offset by buying secondhand clothes instead of new. 1GP is equivalent to offsetting 1kg of CO2. You get awarded GP whenever you buy an item.

  • What is the love button for?

    Tapping the love icon is a way for you to show some appreciation for an item you have discovered. You may not want to buy it, but simply want the owner to know how great you think the item is. In the future, we will be bringing you special features linked to showing items some love.

  • What does the 'Add to Collection' button do?

    'Add to Collection' is a way for you to save an item for later. You can also win rewards for completing missions linked to saving items. 

  • What are TT and what do I do with them?

    TT are in-app tokens you can earn by completing missions, such as listing, buying and selling items. Soon you will be able to spend the TTs you earn in a dedicated TT shop.

  • How can I claim my rewards?

    If you are a winner on our monthly leaderboard, sinply click the Claim button to claim your reward.

  • What can I do with my TT and GP?

    Soon you will be able to spend your tokens in a dedicated TT shop, and earn additional rewards for the amount of GP you earn.

  • Can I cash out my tokens?

    TT have no cash value outside of the UNTAGGED platform and it is not possible to cash them out. In the future there will be an in-app shop where you will be able to spend your TTs.

  • What is 1TT worth in money?

    TT have no cash value outside of the UNTAGGED platform.

  • Can I buy XP, TT or GP?

    We don’t currently offer this feature.
